Who is Saba?
Saba is the third party provider of the learning management system (LMS).
I am a new store, how do we get started in the LMS?
Start adding employees into Radiant, and they will be downloaded to the LMS and the courses will be available in 3 days.
How do I set up a new employee in the LMS?
Add the employee into Radiant. Be sure to complete the workforce management set up. The employee will have access to the courses in 3 days.
I forgot my password/username, how do I get a new one?
Send an email to lmssupport@fiveguys.com and be sure to include the username and store number.
I have an employee that works at multiple locations, how do I set this up?
You can either share the employee in Radiant or you can recreate the employee at the second location and put a “*” in the first name so they are not set up twice in the LMS.
How do I handle employee transfers?
Use the employee transfer function in Radiant. This will ensure that all of the progress and information is transferred to the new location.
How do I properly remove an employee from the LMS?
You need to separate them in Radiant. Make sure that the effective date is within the past 3 weeks. It is very important that employees are separated from Radiant the day they are terminated. Keep Radiant data clean.
If I cannot see one of my courses, what do I do?
If there is not a notification on the log-in screen, send an email to LMSSupport@fiveguys.com and include the username and store number.
I am a Spanish user but my courses are in English, what do I do?
Check in Radiant and make sure there is “sp*” in the middle name. Then send an email to LMS support with a description of the problem, the username, and the store number.
I am an English user but my courses are in Spanish, what do I do?
Check in Radiant and make sure there is not “sp*” in the middle name. Then send an email to LMS support with a description of the problem, the username, and the store number.
My courses are in the correct language but the system is not what do I do?
Change the LOCAL pull down menu when you first log-in.
I am a DM and I cannot see all of my stores, what do I do?
Send an email to LMSSupport@fiveguys.com and include a description of the problem and a list of the stores needed.
How many courses are available?
There are 7 courses currently available. A total of 12 courses will be available.
When will my employees appear in the LMS?
Once an employee has been created in the Radiant system, you will have to wait 3 days for that crew member to appear in the LMS and have courses available.
How many chances do I get to pass a course test?
Crew members will be given an unlimited number of chances to pass each course. While the system keeps track of each attempt, the first passing grade will count as the grade for that course. Test questions come from a question pool, so they change with each attempt to pass the course.
Why do I have to watch a course video again if I don't pass the first time?
It is very important that each crew member retain what they have learned in the courses. On average, each course video runs 5 to 10 minutes. If the crew member fails the course, he or she will be required to watch the course video a second time before taking the test a second time.
What are assessments?
Assessments are hands-on in-store reviews given by your store manager or a District Manager to ensure that crew members can apply what they have learned online. Each course taken will have an in-store assessment.
Who administers assessments?
Assessments are given by your District Manager or a District Manager approved representative of your franchise organization. Not all store managers will have the ability to assess their crew members.
What is a store course completion rate?
The store completion rate is the metric that will be used to measure how far along a store is with their LMS training. For example, If I have 2 employees, one has finished training and another has completed half the courses, my store completion rate would be 75%.
What is a Transcript?
A crew member's transcript can be found under the "My Completed Courses" tab once they login to the system. A transcript is simply a record of the courses they have passed along with the score they received on each of the course tests.
What are certifications?
Once an employee has completed all 11 courses and passed all tests and in-store assessments, he or she will be FIVE GUYS certified. The goal is to have everyone who works at FIVE GUYS hold this certification. There are 2 other manager specific FIVE GUYS certifications that can be obtained, Grey Shirt and MBA. As a manager, how do I see all my employees?
To see all employees at a given store you will need to login as that store, not as the store manager. Use the state abbreviation along with the 4 digit store number to login as that store.
Ex. va0045 would be the login for Virginia store #45.
The default password for store logins is (welcome). You will be asked to change your password the first time you login. Please be sure all managers know the store login password.
What do I do if my store doesn't use Radiant as the POS?
If you have a store that does not use Radiant, your crew members will have to be manually created in the LMS. For non-Radiant stores, please send your store roster to the email LMSRoster@fiveguys.com. Please be certain to identify those crew members who would prefer to use the system in Spanish. Once your roster email has been received, expect 1 week for your crew members to appear in the LMS. Thank you for your patience on this matter.
What if I just want to watch the videos at first without having to take the tests?
By clicking on the TRAINING VIDEOS tab at the top of the main screen, the crew members will have access to all of the videos without the tests. This content can be used if a store manager would like to show a group of crew members the courses. However, each crew member will still have to login themselves, watch the videos again, and then take the tests. The system tracks people as individual learners, so they will need to login individually.
